Klods Hans

Klods Hans is the youngest of three brothers. They all live in the countryside on a big farm. The two older brothers both want to propose to the Princess, and they are both completely sure that she will pick them. The princess will choose her husband in a few days, and she is having an "audition", where she will pick her husband. The two older brothers have studied for years and know how to speak latin - they have academic background and are very posh.

Klods Hans also want to propose to the Princess, but the two older brothers laugh at him for thinking the princess will pick him...

All three want to go to the city to meet the princess - the two brothers get to ride the finest horses, but Klods Hans only gets to ride an old goat to town.

On their way to town, Klods Hans picks up different items he wants to give as presents to the Princess. And his brothers ridicule him for taking those items, but Klods Hans, who is a jolly boy don´t care. He is sure that the princess will appreciate what he has found: An old dead Crow, an old shoe (wooden clog) and mud - fresh from the ditch.

They arrive to the castle and there are lots of other young men - all dressed up.

Now it is their turn to audition. the first brother enters the room. It is in the castle. The princess is on her throne and 4 servants are present, and they write down everything that the young men say. He is very nerveus and cannot say a word. The princess tells him to go, and the second brother comes in. The same thing happens to him. Then Klods Hans arrives, and he is not afraid to talk. Luckily the princess just happens to be in the need of an old dead crow, and old wooden shoe and mud, so she ends up choosing Klods Hans to be her husband. And they live on the castle happily ever after.
